Tigers Quintet Opens
Season With Navasota
Rounding out final practice this i between the B teams of each

solidated quintet is ready tonight
to open its season with the Nava
sota Rattlers.

At Memphis Meet
Dr. David H. Morgan, dean of
the college, and Dr. J. P. Abbott,
dean of the School of Arts and
Sciences, are attending a four
day meeting of the Southern As
sociation of Colleges and Univer
sities.
The meeting is being held in
Memphis, Tenn.

Mrs. Roberts Speaks
At Newcomers Meeting
Mrs. Jacco Roberts spoke to the
Newcomers Club on Christmas dec
orations and plants yesterday in
the YMCA.
After the demonstrated talk, cof-

Abramson, the hostess. She was
assisted by Mrs. Roland Bing,
Mrs. H. G. Potts and Mrs. W. G.

Coach Jim Bevan of Navasota
has not released his list of start-
ers for the game, Chafin said.
But the Tigers’ coach added, “I’m
not sure of my starters either.”
Among the top Consolidated
players are Joe Motheral, Bobby
Jackson, David Bonnen, Fred An
derson, Byron Andrews and Pinky
Conner. •
The Tigers start district play
Saturday against Milano. They al
so will participate in a tournament
at Madisonville Dec. 12-13. The
annual invitation tournament spon
sored by the College Station Ki-
wanis Club will be held Jan. 2-3.

made plans for their annual Christ
mas party and dance at a called
meeting.in the YMCA Tuesday.
The semi-formal dance will be
in . the MSC at 8:30 p. m. Friday.
Gifts will be exchanged and car

and guests will be invited, said

Plans were made at the meeting
to take a Christmas basket to a
needy College Station family.
