Page 4 ^ THE BATTALION Wednesday, October 1, 1952 Students to Attend Industry Congress The National Association of Manufacturers announced today it ■will invite 49 college students and 17 industrial apprentices to the 1952 Congress of American In dustry to be held Dec. 3, 4, and 5, in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. Each of the 48 states and the District of Columbia will have one student at the congress. The 17 apprentices also will represent dif ferent sections of the country. MSC Bridge Club Meets Wednesday The MSC Bridge Club will meet for the first time this year in the Social Room of tbe MSC Wed nesday, said Miss Betty Bolander, program consultant. Receiving votes in the sports manship award selection are yell leaders, college newspaper editors, student body presidents, athletes, school officials, sportswriters, football officials, and others. At its meeting Monday tbe com mittee will discuss sportsmanship problems concerning the various Southwest Conference schools and make recommendations for better sportsmanship relations at confer ence athletic meets. The committee meets again prior to tbe Cotton Bowl game and again in the spring at the school which is host to tbe conference track meet.
