He was injured Tuesday in a head-on collision with a teammate in non-scrimmage workouts. Rush is in St. Joseph’s Hospital at Bry an. It is expected he’ll be hos pitalized five days and it isn’t known whether he will be able to play in the Aggie opener with the University of Houston Sept. 20. Baylor Changes Waco, Sept. 4 — (A*) — Coach George Sauer of Baylor has made one major change in his offensive platoon, shifting a left halfback .to right end. The player—Charles Smith of Mount Pleasant, a sophomore—was shifted when fall practice began. “Charley is big, drl and 190 pounds, has good speed, catches the ball well and likes to block,” Sauer said. UT Guard Hurt Austin, Sept. 4—(A*)—Bob Glenn, promising sophomore guard, re ceived an injured knee yesterday in the first real contact work tackled by the University of Tex as Longhorns this season. Rush . undergoes surgery Rideout Resumes Training Work Denton, Sept. 4 — (A 5 ) — Blaine Rideout, A&M and University of Nebraska football trainer during the past four years, yesterday took over as head trainer for North Texas State here. Rideout—who was a famed track performer for NTSC during the late 1930’s—recently resigned from the Nebraska staff to go into the training room supply business in Dallas. Right now, he plans to keep his business going as well as taking on his duties here. Weick Leads College Station Swimmers In Golf Crest Meet Dick Weick of College Station starred as he led the Men’s divi sion to a second place in the three day meet that closed recently at Golf Crest Counti-y Club in Hous ton. He took first places in the 200 individual medley, the 100 men’s breaststroke, the men’s 200 breast stroke, and swam on the second place men’s 400 freestyle relay team, and also the third place men’s 300 yd. medley relay team. John R. Smith took 1st place in the boy’s 100 yd. individual medley and swam on the 2nd place medley relay team and 5th place freestyle relay team to lead his team to third place in the boy’s division.
