From Sailor To are j.1 By JERRY Z1JBER The sign on the window, sfiys “Manning Sriiith, Insurance and Loans.” It should also read, “Square dance teacher and caller.” For that is what Manning Smith does in his spare time.. In fact, he works at square dancing so much that he ho longer has any spare time. T7 irount Smith has been In and_ around ■ College Station for 16 years. Before she became involved in making and designing square dance costumes, Mrs. Smith was active women’s club work in College Station. She was on the Girl Scout Council, a member of the Federat ed Church Women, and a member of: the Women’s Garden Club. The Smiths have two children, Manping DeWitt, eight, and Helen Sherrill, 1 five. Adams reported the dues of 79 College Station and Bryan business men as totaling $1,397.60, exclu sive of the firms electing to pay dues on a monthly basis.
