The Texas Engineering Experi ment Station’s Research Report No. 9 by Albert James Bonar, describes the process, which in volves ! the removal of water from the soil with methyl alcohol. Tnere Was not any competition for any tion in the election. Mit Williams and Ernest Red man, both of Wellborn, were elect ed to replace J. E. Mosley, and Raymond Nolan of Wellborn, who did not seek reelection. C. A. Bonnen of College Station was re-elected to the Consolidated board for another term. Rudy Leighton was elected to replace J. H. Stockton of College Station on the Braxos County School board from Precinct, I, without opposition. Proclamation Issued Ernest Langford, mayor of Col lege Station, issued an official proclamation this morning pro claiming April as Cancer Control Month in the city. The proclama tion reads as follows: ‘ Whereas, the disease, cancer, represents a community health problem in College Station, as well as throughout the nation. Where as, measures must be taken to cutf down the present cancer death- rate easing the tragedy for in dividuals and lightening the com munity burden of the great social and economic loses resulting from cancer.
