Bryan, Texas Campus Regulations Announced For New Car Owners on Campus Campus traffic regulations for the benefit of new stu dents who may own cars have been announced by Fred Hick man, chief of Campus Security. College regulations require that each vehicle must be re gistered with the Campus Security within 48 hours after it is brought on the campus, he said. At this time an identification plate will be issued which should be at tached in a visible position on the front of the vehicle. Parking areas have been assign ed for vehicles belonging to stu dents and employees and for all other vehicles on the campus. If the student is in doubt about the correct parking area for his ve hicle, he should consult a member of the Campus Security Police. Employees are provided with park ing areas in the vicinity of the buildings in which they work. Proper parking areas for stu dents are listed below. Day students: Parking area north of Petroleum Engineering Building, Parking area west of Temporary Classroom Buildings Dorms 1-3-5: Parking area east of Dorms 3 and 5 Dorms 2-4-6-8-10-12: Parking area behind Dorm 12 and Trail Street Dorms 7-9-11: Parking area south of Dorm 11 Hart: Parking area behind Hart Hall Puryear, Law, Leggett, and Mitchell: Parking area west and north of Law Hall Milner Hall: Parking area north of Milner and east of Sbisa Hall CHICAGO, Feb. 3 —UP)— The principals in the lengthy railroad wage-hour dispute Wednesday ask ed the presidential fact-finding board to re-enter the dispute and “try and work out a settlement be tween us.” Walton Hall: Parking area north of Walton Hall Dorms 15-16: Parking area east of AAA Building, east lane only Dorms 14-17. Un necessary sounding of horns is prohibited, Hickman said. Students are not allowed to drive to classes since there is only one parking area allotted for any ve hicle on the campus. Students are required to park their vehicles in assigned areas and walk to class es. Special driving and parking privileges may be issued by the Campus Security Office for those persons who have special needs. Motor vehicles operated on the campus must be effectively muf fled. Scooters and motorcycles must be as effectively muffled as a modern automobile and will be inspected before registration is complete. U. S. Government, State and College-owned vehicles are not required to be registered but are subject to all regulations. All Texas laws governing the driver, the vehicle, and the streets are effective on the campus and will be enforced, Hickman said. A record of the money accrueing from reinstatements of permits is kept and audited, and at the end of each semester this money is made available to a fund for the betterment of student life on the campus.
