I II Gas Causes Death J Of ’48 Graduate Charles D. .j Jones, graduate of 1948, died of carbon monoxide poi soning on the! night of November 11. He was a teacher of vocational agriculture at Samnorwood High School. The escaping gas came from a heater that wjent but.!, j Jones was a Marine veteran and pariicipated in sevieral campaigns. He was | buried alive on Iwo Jima, rescued, and later severely wound ed in the battle for that island.
