electrical engineering depart
ment spoke cn '“Financing and
Providing Facilities for Higher
Education.” He said that the
commission predicts 4.900,000
students in college in 1960.
The commission’s recommenda
tion was summarized as follows:
“High school Education for all nor
mal youth; two years of college
education; shsiild b/ as common as
high school is now, financial aid
must he; provided for education
from tenth grade through junior
College; Ipwer cost for students in
the senior colleges; adult educa
tion to be provider! for those who
want it; public education must be
provided for all alike.”
Professor S. H. Hopkins of the
biology department summarized .

“Stratifying Higher Education.”.
