Loupot, '38 North Gate r Intramural Ball Playing Nears End By Bill Rippetoe C Cavalry came through with an other win Monday defeating F In fantry in the finals 8-4 to win the Class B Intramural softball cham-* pionship. Ortiz, C Troop’s fast pitcher, was by far the outstand ing player of the day, allowing on ly four hits and getting two trip les for himself. Also starring for C Troop was Russell, the catcher, and Gonzales, third baseman. Green, the losing pitcher also had plenty of stuff on the ball, but he didn’t have the support that Ortiz did. In the class A division A Infan try came from behind to win a hard fought game in the semi finals with F Infantry. Stan Wyble was the winning pitcher and was ably aided by Reed, Presnal, Lof- fer, and Golden. Credit should also be given to F Company’s pitcher, Rogers, who really pitched a swell game but received very ragged support at times. Trailing by one run at the end of the sixth, A Company came through with a se ries of tallies to win 11-8. Dorm No. 12 also advanced to the finals, defeating Dorm No. 15 behind the one hit pitching per formance of Seibert. The finals will be played on Friday. Volleyball The volleyball race is also com ing to a close with A Infantry, Dorm No. 15, and C Battery win ning their respective leagues.
