AAUP MEETS THURSDAY TO HEAR REPORTS The local chapter of the Amer ican Association of University Pro fessors will hear reports on student honor societies and on pay for college teachers when they meet Thursday night. The session will be held in the Assembly Room of the Y. M. C. A. at 8:00, and will be open to all who wish to attend. The reports will be given by C. B. Campbell and W. A. The free pic tures will start at 7:30 p. m., and the public is invited to attend. Filmed in natural color, the movie is set to music and narrated by Otto Mayer, who describes himself as “a photographer with itchy feet” who has spent much of the last 11 years traveling through Latin American by every convey ance from ox-cart to Pan-American Airways. Scenes include the Floating Car dens of Xochimilco, the Aztec Sa crificial Dance at the Pyramid of the Sun, Conchita Cintron in the Mexico City bull ring, views of Cuernavaca, Taxco, Patzcuoro, Pue blo, Orizaba, and Fortin de las Flores. Also included are scenes of snow-capped volcanoes, water falls, rare tropical flowers such as orchids and gardenias, and pic tures depicting the life of the peo ple and customs of the country. Mayer has shown the movies throughout Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Iowa, and Minnesota. FISH AND GAME SEES MOVIE, PLANS PICNIC The Fish & Game Club met Mon day night at 7:15 p. m. in the A. I. Bldg., with a large attendance of men interested in wildlife. Movies entitled “Wildlife in Southwest Texas”, “Bass Fishing”, and “Big Bend National Park” were shown. Plans for a club barbecue were discussed with the date to be set at the next regular meeting.
