HARRIS #. Editor Sports Editor Advertising and Cirulation Reporter Reporter Please Sign Your Letters . . . Dear Readers: When you have anything that might be of general in terest to the Cadet Corps, or to the veterans and their wives, or to the faculty and staff of the college, the BATTALION is only o happy to print it for you. But there is a string at tached—you must sign your name, if you want your liter ary genius set in lead, bathed in printer's ink, and placed in other five thousand papers that go all over the state. This is necessary for a quite obvious reason: Newspap ers have been known to get in very expensive lawsuits, merely for printing opinionated stories that had no author ity quoted. This' paper is no exception, as we, too, can be sued for libel, or misrepresentation of the facts, or any one of a number of things equally as unpleasant. The office has received a good many unsigned letters that would be of general interest to the readers, and that we would like to have printed—but, we are in no position to undergo a lawsuit. In closing, we assure you that all letters, notes, edi torials, and stories addressed to this office have a good chance of being printed, either with or without the writer's name, but the original copy must be signed. Sincerely, The Editors. 4HsaS ANNOUNCES A New Two-Day Dry Cleaning Service • With the Affiliation of LOUPOT’S TRADING POST North Gate J. E.
