College June 14-16 by the School of Engineering in cooperation with the Civil Aeronautics Administra tion. While it had hoped to attract interested parties from the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico, the states comprising CAA’s 4th re gion, registration showed thirteen states and the District of Columbia represented. There were two general groups in attendance, those from cities which now have airports and those from communities which now do not have airports but which expect to build them after the war. The show is free, and begins at 5 o’clock. —KYLE (Continued iiom page 1) is a governmental agency devoted to the financing of farm produc tion of both livestock and crops. In Texas alone they have loaned the farmers over 250 million dol lars on farms and ranches. There are twelve units of this organization which cover the en tire United States. Texas is the only state which covers an entire unit by itself. Dean Kyle is one of the seven directors from the Texas unit. The Secretary of Ag riculture, Claude Wickard, was in attendance at the meeting for the full eight days. Programs for the three-day meeting featured airport manage ment, operation and maintenance respectively. This short course, which will be used as a tie-in with student in struction in aeronautical engineer ing, will be made an annual affair. Committee to Meet For S. P. E. E. Plan The National Drawing Commit tee to formulate efficiency tests in Engineering Drawing will meet June 21 preceding the S.P.E.E. meeting in Cincinnati for the pur pose of classifying incoming stu dents, determining level of en trance for transfer^ and army vet erans, and to prepare a battery of achievement tests for students who have completed a college course in general drawing. W. E. Street, head of the Engi neering Drawing Department of Texas A. & M. College, and a member of the six-man committee expects to be in attendance. Much work has been done during the past year and the National Draw ing Committee working under the Drawing Division of S.P.E.E. is endeavoring to submit a test for approval at the annual S.P.E.E. meeting, June 22 to 25 in Cincin nati. While there Street will attend the annual meeting of the Society for the Promotion of Engineering Education. He is a member of the executive committee of the Draw ing Division and serving the third year as editor of the T-Square page, devoted to the interests of the Drawing Division of S.P.E.E.
