Page 2 —HOYLE— (Continued from page 1) . rather than a college operated paper he first limited the size and type of ads in the bulletin and eventually helped to do away with it. For years Mr. Hoyle has been a true lover of the sports and is still occasionally seen on the golf links. However, his main diversion at the present is hunting. Many tales are told about his hunting trips and all are colored with his own tall stories that are now almost classics to his friends. One is told of the time when Mr. Hoyle was out hunting deer with his friends who had wandered from the old editor but who rapidly re turned on hearing a volley of five shots. On inspection they found Mr. Hoyle admiring a deer that had the tell-tale marks of four shells from the hunter’s trusted Winchester. When asked about the fifth shot Mr. Hoyle replied in a very matter of fact tone, “Oh, that one. Must have gone astray ’cause I was firin’ from the hip.” -TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1941 PROMOTION LIST— (Continued from page 1) Company “D” Captain Jordan, Max C. First Lieutenant Buehrig, J. E.
