Henry Wenzel is director of the group. Maurine Hearn Leaves For Washington Meeting Maurine Hearn, district agent for the Extension Service of A. and M. College, left Friday afternoon for Washington, D. :; C., to attend a conference on home economists’ contribution to the national defense program. Invitation to attend came to Miss Hearn from Mrs. Winnie Fisher Cunningham, formerly ex tension editor in Texas, who is now chief of the civil groups sec tion, consumer division of the Ad visory Commission to the Council on National Defense. Forestry Students To Make Inspection Trip Fifty forestry students of A. & M. will make a 400-mile inspection trip to the state forests near May- dell, the Diaboll sawmill and the Lufkin paper mill today and Sun day. The boys, accompanied by W. R. Horsley of the landscape art department, left this morning at 7 o’clock. They will return Sunday night. The first stop will be the Diaboll saw-mills which is a com plete milling plant of both hard and soft woods. Saturday afternoon, the class will visit the fire pro tection stations and the Lufkin paper mill. The night will be spent in the Alto CCC campi STUDENTS!
