Reserve Officers Asociation will hold its 1089 national convention in Sorto An entertainment program a shore and afloat has been arrang ad that should keep all partici pants busy from morn til night, and the convention, as a whole, will probably be the finest ever from every standpoint; it’s a West In- dee cruise that will include ship fun and shore thrills, and at the same time will prove quite expe dient in so far as business is con cerned. The convention will be does, intimate, economical, above all, it will be different and Hie fleatine convention will leave New York via the Iroquois, a favorite cruise line, on Saturday, June 17, and after It has pat out to aea, all members will register and then settle down to the task of having fun during the three days while en route to Porto Rico The Iroquois will dock oa the morning of the 20th, and the'U. Faculty, Student Group Has Had Good The Baylor University Symphony Orchestra wdll be heerd in s con cert in Guion Hall next Friday evening at 7 :30 The Orchestra is being brought here by the coopera tive efforts of (he College Station LJtie Symphony Orchestra, which will also play, and the Collage Bap tist Church, The Baylbr Symphony, directed by J. C. Thomson, is an organisa tion of many years standing, bet it has not been until recently that audiences outside of the city of Waco have had the opportunity of hearing it. But its programs have been received with great enthu siasm wherever it has played. The Baylor Orchestra Is said to play with a unity of.ynsemble and a genuine variety of coloit and shad ing unusual in an amateur group. There wfll be no admission to this concert and the public is be ing invited to attend. The orchestra is composed of both faculty and student members.
