Livestock I* Being Groomed For Annual ite Stock Show* Grooming ha* begun on fine cat tle and swine, bred and reared by the animal husbandry department of the Texas A and M College, for entry In the two state livestock, shows, the Houston Pat Stock Show at Houston and the South- westers Exposition and Fat Stock Show at Fort Worth. Entries for the Houston Fat Stock Show will include a carload of Hereford, Slfbrthorn and Aber deen Angus beef cattle, and a car load of Hampshire, Duroc Jersey, Berkshire and Poland China hoga. An entirely different group of live stock Will be shown at the ^ort Worth ahow than will be exhibited at Houston, according to' D. W. Williams, head of the college ani mal husbandry department, but the number and breeds of the cattle and hogs will be approximately the same. In addition, about eight Percheron and five saddle hones will be shown at Fort Worth. . V |! Much interest.In the outcome of these final cont<»sts la being shown by intramural f|fna because the Duchess and Queen Of Cotton Ball To Be Announced Soon Twenty-eight senior educational institutions, thirty A and M ex students clubs and twelve A and M mothers clubs have been invited to select duchesses for the third an nual cotton ball and pageant April ft, J. E. Loupot, cotton king for this year’s event, has announced. The ex-students clubs and the mothers chibs will cooperate in selecting duchesses in those cities where both ex-students and moth* ers clubs are located. « The selection of the duchess rep resenting the college is expected to be announced soon. A meeting of committee chair men for the ball and pageant was held Monday for the discussion of varioas details. Considerable prog ress in plans for the event is re ported. some changes in the organization standings since both Battery “E*. which is in the tennis finals and handball semi-finals, and Company “A” Signal Corps, which is in the handball semi-finals, are leading organizations in the standings. Marriage Probl CHICAGO, m.—Failure of sex education to solve major problems of marriage and the relationship of men and women was charged . this week by Dr. Elizabeth Whit ney. consultant in mental hygiene at Stanford University, who came to Chicago to attend a meeting of the American Student Health As sociation. “There is more unhappiness in marriage and more confusion in the relationships of men and wo- s men than ever before,” she con tended, declaring that thfc move ment for general sex education has “loosed a flood of talk until sexuality has become an obses sion.” She maintained that the college girl of today should realize that her feminine and emotional quali ties must not be stifled in her ■tniggle to equal the other sex mentally.
