This annual ritual ie one dear to the hearts of all A and If men and the unique procession pre sents an impressive spectacle to thoec who witness it , The ceremony itself carries out the legend that the old elephant upon seeing the end drawing near, leaves the rest of the herd and seeks a secluded spot for hie death bed. This rite represents the last act of the senior class as a body; their going opens the way for those who follow ih their foot steps. Thursday the seniors will see their last conference football game as students of the institu tion.
