Jean Arthur is the pretty herione in this comedy-melo drama.-3- They are loose again, those “Crack ed Nuts”, Wheeler and Woolsey. The nuts are consorting with royalty in a mythical kingdom, and it’s time for a revolution. Wheeler ascends to the throne, having won the kingdom with a full-house. They run the kingdom simultaneously, and take turns using the army and navy against each other. Dorothy Lee and Edna Mae Oliver lead the support east. Even a king can throw snake eyes. -3- Zazu Pitts and Leon Errol are the mama and papa of Mitzi Green and Jackie Searl, the kids who almost steal the comedy. Finn, the old man, makes a lot of money, and decides to take the kids on a trip, which is great for the kids. -2- Chaplin comes again to the screen in “City Lights”. Charlie does a Hora tio Alger in his latest, appearing as a white wing who seeks fame and for tune. There are laughs and sobs in the picture that only Chaplin can cre ate. As a tramp, he loves a blind flower girl, who believes him to be a millionaire. That is the story. Chap lin is at his best, in this non-dialogue, synchronized picture, which will be different from any you have ever seen. Charlie is great, and if you like him, you’ll not forget the picture. New Plans For School This Summer Carry Many Improvements Careful selection of the courses of fered during the summer by the de partments has led to the possibility of of completing the prescribed 4 year’s of work in three years by attending the summer sessions at the college, is disclosed in a bulletin issued on the curricula for the short sessions. In addition to the regular freshman and sophmore courses a great many advanced courses are offered for the convenience of junior and seniors who wish to shorten the calendar per iod of residence by Summer Session work. Graduate work is provided in prac tically all departments of the college so that high school teachers and others may have opportunity for study in courses leading to the Mas ter of Science degree. Conferences, short courses, and lectures furnish excellent opportunities for mature men and women engaged in vocatio nal and professional pursuits to se cure additional training in their fields. During the 1930 Summer Session more than thirty five hundred men and women took advantage of these non-credit courses. Rural Education 426, a study school I supervision, is a new course that will be offered. It is for the benefit of those specializing in supervision of the rural school.
