Exhibits of the Textile Engineer ing Department in the Engineering- Show Saturday, will comprise a dem onstration of the manufacture of cotton goods from the raw cotton to the finished cloth for both plain acid, fancy design. In the picker room, where the ton is received , the preliminary steps through which the cotton passes be explained. A demonstration of carding, di-awing, stubbing, spinning, spooling-, wraping, and slashing will complete the exhibits on the first floor. The process of both plain and fan cy weaving will be demonstrated on the second floor, with the Jacquard looms in operation to show how the fancy materials are produced. GIBBS & SON With a record of two victories and no defeats behind them, members of the 1930 Texas Aggie swimming team are entering the last phases of their training program in prepara tion for the annual meet with Texas University. This affair will be held May 17 at Austin, if Texas wants a meet. So far this year the Aggie nata- fors have defeated the Houston Y. M. C. A. in a dual meet, and the Galveston swimming team and the Houston Y. M. C. A. in a three-cor nered contest for the Gulf Coast championship. In this latter affair the Aggies borught home a six-inch loving cup and a varied collection of medals. The firm of Howder, Evans, Lowe, and Humason captured the relay. Humason won the back stroke and 220 free style. Lowe placed first in the 50 free and 220 free, with How der winning second in the 50. Threadgill and Evans placed second and third respectively in the' diving; Clardy was third in the back stroke, while Suggs won second in the breast stroke.
