THE BATTALION 7 RING CONTRACT GIVEN TO ELLIOTT Sankey Park of Bryan Will Distrib ute Senior Rings to Class Members. Contract for the manufacture and sale of the senior ring for the Class of 1931 has been awarded by the ring committee of the class to Chas. Elliott Engraving Company and San key Park, Bryan jeweler. The rings will be manufactured by the Elliott Company and will be dis tributed by Park, facilitating the sizing and ordering of the rings for members of the class. Patterson of the depart ment of Comparative Literature in Columbia University is announced oy the English department here for ap pearance in a public lecture at A. and M. at the Assembly Hall on April 24th. The title, or subject, of Dr. Patter son’s talk will be “Milton, the First Modern.” In this the speaker will in troduce the poet Milton in modern dress. Dr. Patterson is one of the most eminent scholars in seventeenth cen tury literature and has edited a mon umental edition of Milton. His criti cal writings on Milton and Bunyan are usually regarded as final. Dr. Patterson is one of the most distinguished scholars ever to speak on the campus and an interesting talk is assured to all who care to attend. There will be no charge for the lec ture, expenses being defrayed by the committee of public lectures and en tertainments of A. and M.
