No Sleep
for f^ick tonight
SOW is pigging
tonight on the
Purina Farm. And
Nick is right there
— seeing to it that
everything goes off
all right just as
you’d do.
But even after the
pigs are here safe,
Nick still has a big
job ahead.
He’ll weigh every
one before it even
sucks.
He’ll measure
them. He’ll clip
and mark their
ears. And he’ll
write up a full re
port on the lot
before morning.
For Purina Mills is experi
menting with feeds for sows
— so that you won’t have to.
The Purina Farm is an ex
periment farm —so that yours
won’t have to be. Every

There is a persistent rumor around
the campus (the instigator of which
no doubt know's his okra) that our
senior yell leader has a very good
and altogether sufficient reason for
having the Aggies give this “Ladies”
yell so consistently. For the past
two weeks this has been a standard
one at pi-actically every yell practice
and the boys seem to be getting a
big thrill out of it. The odd part of
it all is that Hop seems to be get
ting more kick out of it than any
one else. He makes it plain for
everybody to “bear down” on that
final part which goes “We Love You
Ladies!” and we all “bear down.” It’s
having a wonderful effect on the
blonde headed boy from Bastrop
though. He gets going strong on this
one and those brown eyes sparkle
when that latter portion of the yell
is voiced by about two thousand of
Texas’ pride and joy.

The rumor is that one of Hop’s
girl friends is present at each and
every yell practice and that she sits
enthralled and enraptured while its
all going on so that it is absolute
ly necessary that the “Ladies” yell
go over in a large way. And it does,
too—thanks to the lusty throated
Aggie boys. Who is the lady, Hop?
Don’t keep us in the dark. Cherchez
la femme.

The principal question before the
House of Representatives at the pres
ent time is this: Are A. and M. ca
dets shieks ? We’ll all admit that it
is a debatable subject. Perhaps they
are and perhaps they are not. But
you can’t tell a book by its cover
and its the ability to love that
makes the lover. (Pardon the couplet;
it was entirely unintentional).
Who was it that said, “You gotta’
know, you gotta’ know how to love.”
I think it was Milton—no, believe it
was Dryden. Dryden sounds good; it
must have been him. Anyway, the
old fellow said a mouthful. But I’m
straying from the subject or merely
getting deeper into it—I can’t de
termine which it is.
There are two kinds of men at this
school of higher learning; those that
DO and those that DON’T. Be broad
minded now and don’t take exception
to my statement. The two kinds
that I’m speaking of under this par
ticular classification are those that
do enjoy the pleasure and compan
ionship (every now and then) of the
opposite sex around this vicinity and
