the Conference. The Porkers have
found time to schedule three games
with the Texans. Texas took the
Gentlemen in camp last week and
T. C. U. will attempt the same trick
in Shreveport this week. On Octo
ber 26, Baylor makes another trip
to Centenary and then on Nov. 16
Arkansas meets them on their home
lot.
Did you know that tthe Aggies
faced a complete blonde backfield
when they played Tulane last week.

Only one of Matty’s teams has ever

The Tulane “Pep” squad is the
closest thing that this writer has
seen that can come close to the Ag
gies as 12th men. These staunch
backers of the Green Wave seldom
took their seats, in fact, the deluge
of water could not make them sit
down, much less leave the stadium
for shelter. Another interesting thing
noted was the fact that about half
of the end seats were filled by high
school and grade children who had
their own yell leaders and were
making enough noise to be heard over
the Aggies and Tulane’s outburts
of enthusiasm.

“When in Rome, do as the Ro
mans do” may be old and trite, but
had the Aggies adhered to the prin
ciples of the River Folks they would
not have had to stand in a barrel
until their suits were dried. Never
before a Texan’s eyes have so many
umbrellas been flashed in one place.
One moment the whole huge Tulane
stands was one mass of humans, and
the next, nothing but umbrellas, the
entire Tulane side being completely
covered.
The Centenary Gentlemen, power
ful Louisiana team that has been
knocking at the Southwestern door
for the last few years, continues to
schedule games with the teams of
this conference. Last year they knock
ed a couple of the big timers of
Texas down, the Aggies being one
of the sufferers. This year they will
meet four of the Southwest teams,
this being more than the University
of Arkansas meets and they are in
