M. U.’s favorite pass seemed to be Mann to Hunt, or Mann to Bart lett. * * * Did you know that Joel Hunt has scored a total of 104 points so far this season ? Jk rfc * Outside of Dallas just one promi nent sports-writer picked S. M. U. to win the game. The others are fami liar with the traditions of Kyle Field. Jinx Tucker and Duby DuBose yelled their heads off when Joel made that first touchdown. :|i :fi Rice next for the Aggies and then the final game against Texas on Kyle Field. Neither will be easy battles. Most any team has at least one good game a season in its system and the Rice Owls will likely play their one game of the year against the Ag-gies as they have so often done in the past. It is played in Houston and that will help the Feathered Tribe. * * * At the same time the Aggie cross country team will meet the Rice har riers in their hardest race of the year. LAST WEEK’S SCORES also be given to the winner of each event in the swimming races and the track meet. In all a total of over a hundred medals will be awarded this year to the winners in interamural athletics. In addition to the medals awarded to members of winning teams, there will also be distinctive medals given to the three men having the largest number of points at the tnd of the year. Thus it will be pos sible for a man to be on a large num ber of second-place teams and still get a medal. The intramural sport program is moving along nicely at present, with basketball nearly over, tennis singles well under way, and large numbers of men out for volleyball. The cross country meet will be held in Decem ber so it is not too early to start training for it now. S. M. U. 13; A. & M. 39. Texas 13; Baylor 12. T. C. U. 3; Arkansas 10. Rice 7; Centenary 33. HUSTLE AND GRIN * * * ❖ * ❖ * * ❖ * * “Smile and the world smiles with you,’ “Knock” and go it alone; For the cheerful grin Will let you in Where the kicker is never known. Growl, and the way looks dreary, Laugh, and the path is bright; For a welcome smile Brings sunshine, while A frown shuts out the light. Hustle, and fortune awaits you, Shirk, and defeat is sure; For there’s never a chance Of deliverance For the chap who can’t endure. Kick, and there’s trouble brewing, Whistle and life is gay, And the world’s in tune, Like a day in June, And the clouds all melt away. —Anon.
