Men Band Together to Aid Institution and Each Other. An annual transformation, strange yet complete, will soon take place. When the seniors of the class of 1927 step upon the rostrum to receive their coveted decrees they are veritable “Lords of all they survey,” as far as A. and M. is concerned, anyhow. When they step from the rostrum, with the sheepskin clutched tightly in warm hands, they become the “Baby Exes,” as far as the thousands of other A. and M. men who have gone before them are cpncerned. An examination of the records in the office of the Association of For mer Students discloses the remarkable spreading of each yearly class of A. and M. graduates within a few months after the commencement exercises. Practically every State in the Union gets its quota. Many foreign coun tries receive one or more of these recent grads. They filter into strange outlying districts, doing engineering, agricultural or business tasks. They " g*roup together in large cities and in-” , dustrial centers. Texas, naturally,-J gets most of them, but there ar£ | representatives that can be found in every State. Commencement no longer means a complete severance of ties between the , graduate and his Alma Mater. Thru : j the organization of the Former Stu dents Association A. and M. men ! everywhere are retaining their touch ! with their institution and with their ^ A. and M. friends. Nearly half of the 11927 class have already become mem- i bers of this organization, and before I Commencement the roll will be prac tically complete with all of them. Backless bathing suits, contrived to allow their wearers to acquire an even coat of tan, will probably prove, popular at indoor pools this summer.. —Exchange. . >. H % DR.
