THE BATTALION 9 DROP KICKS (Continued from Page 8) ably the toughest schedule /in! the Conference, because they play five Conference teams in a row and two of these games are away from home. Speaking of schedules we wonder if Mr. Davis is aware of the fact that the Aggies play those same teams in a row also, and that only two of those games, Rice and T. C. U. will be in our own sandpile. But think nothing of that because we take them as they come, anywhere, anytime, anyplace, and we don’t need HIRED HANDS to do it with either. Sewanee, although after losing both ends, three backfield men in the form of the powerful Mahoney who was a feature in the past season’ sgames along with Gibbons and Powers. Bar ker, chosen on the mythical All- Southwestern team as quarterback will also be gone. To lose such an ar ray would be demoralizing to the Tiger eleven were it not for the fact that they have men, good men, to step into their shoes. Last year the Tigers exhibited a remarkable aerial attack at the Fair grounds and this year they promise to open up on the Aggies with an attack from the air that will shame the one used last year. Almost thirty passes were attempted and over ninety per cent of them were successful. This year the dangerous material will be found in the form of Capt. Todd, wonderman of the Sewanee backfield, and branded as the south’s most dan gerous passer. The State of Texas contributes heavily to the Sewanee team in the form of three or four men playing in the line averaging in weight some two hundred pounds. The entire Sewanee line will average over one hundred and ninety pounds. The Aggies have been training as hard, if not harder, than the Tigers have for the coming classic. The Aggie backfield and line are both fast whipping into shape that will cope with anything that Sewanee will care to threaten them with. *1* 'fr 'I* "I 1 ‘I* 'I* 'I* 'I* 'I* "I* ‘I* "I* "I* 'I* *1* ■X* , I i "I* , I' *1' 'I* "I 1 'I* 'I* 'I* 'I* *1* *1* *%* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* F *1* *1* a I* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* "I* *1* CLEANING AND PRESSING Investigate our plant and you will find it completely equipped to do the most per fect work—and your clothes will be re turned quicker, too.
