Also we wish some little birdie would tweet to M. D. Lewis, Chee Ghee’s rummit, that a bath tub was made to bathe in and not to sleep in. * * * Bubb Rudd is planning for his com ing-out party. He is growing a moustache and already has wasted a bottle of Dyanshine and four hours labor trying to make it show up. * * * Smoky Goss has taken up golf and whenever he cusses out on the links he blames the fellows playing with him for not telling him that a bunch of ladies were in hearing. Golf will make a man unreasonable alright. sfc * ❖ And we might mention here that Goss and Professor Fermier have shaved their moustaches. Now whether there was a secret agree ment between the two is not known. * * * Ed Capers was a week-end visitor at Bowie and Denton. He came back a whole day early so we have reason to suspect that his girl got tired of him and ran him off. Ed says not, however. * * * The word is out that Louis Hobbs is attending regular skating parties to return in the wee hours of the morning disurbing his sleeping room mate with imaginary glides and turns. Miss Juliette Castles and others are responsible they say. * * ❖ Sy Guthrie will surely develop a very conservative and careful busi ness man. If you don’t believe it ask Colglazier why Sy asked him to re fund one dollar which was spent on Bob’s girl while Bob was on a pass. ❖ * : i : Visitors to Somerville last week— one-third of the cadet corps. * * * It is rumored that the Kappas know why Jack Finks stayed ovei' in Austin last week-end. R. V. IS TO BE HELD ON APRIL 16, 17, AND 18 Some time ago it was announced that the dates for the Ross Volun teer festivities would be April 23, 24, and 25. Since that time, however, it has been found advisable to change the dates. The 16th, 17th, and 18th of April, Thursday, Friday, and Satur day, have now been definitely set aside as the days for the celebration. The committees in charge are work ing steadily on plans by which the festivities may be made gay and lavish. The famous Jimmie’s Joys will play for the dances. V. C. HANDY ANDY SAYS: It’s an awful thing to get up in the morning if you have to, but it is a pleasant sound to hear the alarm bell call if you know that it is ringing at the right time and that you have gotten every bit of sleep to be had. Best way is to get the best clock that not only keeps the best time but is so well made that the alarm actually goes off at the time you set it and not fifteen or twenty minutes be fore or after. You can get an alarm clock that rings to the minute at PARKER-ASTIN HARDWARE CO.
