THE BATTALION THE AGGIE OFFENSIVE. Duckett _- Damon — Kyle Washburn Tucker Dealy Baker — Wilcox - Kreuger . And many of those colored smocks will be seen on the night of February 13th as the future architects of Texas do their stuff on the dance floor. The second annual dance of the Architectural Club will be held that nite on the fourth floor of the Main Building in the depart mental drafting room. The dance this year will be a cos tume affair, the ladies wearing any costume that suits femine taste while the masculine half wear artist’s smocks of various and bewildering de signs. As the date of the dance is near Valentine, many costumes may follow the vogue that is fashionable for this time of the year. It may be that many hearts will be given, stol en and broken that night. Who knows ? An added attraction this year will be the prize offered for the best cos tumed couple. A hint to the wise is sufficient; therefore take heed Arch itectural students and get together with that date and let her take that prize home to show the home town gossips. This will be a dinner dance execut ed with the artistic ability that only architects can concieve of. This idea was carried out last year with the successs that is well known through out the campus. A few faults were detected and changes will be made to remedy these. The tables will be placed in a different part of the de partment so as to give more “sole killing” room. The floor will be scraped, sanded, and waxed thereby enabling the dancers to slip or fall with grace and ease. The feature acts of the evening shall be “Antiseptic” solo dancing by local and out of town artists. These artists are well known throughout the state. These features promise to be exceedingly entertaining as they to be enacted by artists who know their capers. The rest of the evening will be given over to the famous in- oor sport. It is the hope of all that the Architects will get their fill of waxing eloquent via the leather meth od. Fifteen for Oxford! The arrangement committee is working fast and furious to make is dance a complete successs. It will be a success if some “wish he was an ar chitect,” doesn’t favor us with another fire alarm. Don’t wait, but get that smock and date. FROM RICE 20-21 The Farmers annexed another con ference game last Wednesday when they defeated the flock of Owls from Rice Institute by a score of 29 to 21, on the small court of the Houston Y. M. C. A. The Aggies were forc ed considerably more in this encount er than they had been in the first game betweent these two institutions on the Memorial Gymnasium court. The games with the Oklahoma Ag gies together with the exams that ended just before the game with the Institute quintet, had their effect on the Aggie basketeers. The game opened up with the Owls staging a ferocious attack and they gained a lead that was held for the first seven minutes of play. How ever the pace was too fast and the Aggies, insted of lagging, forged ahead and when the first period end ed, they were leading 17 to 11. This lead was maintained during the re mainder of the game. Duckett was high point man of the encounter with a total of 12 points. Damon was sec ond with a total of 8 markers.
