There was a mistake in last week’s issue as to the date of the dance. The dance is to be held Saturday nig;ht January 17, instead of the sixteenth as was stated before. This is the first dance of the year and one of the last to be held in the Annex. The dances mid-term will be held there and after February the corps dances will be held-in the new Gym. Now is the time to show all of the boys the new criss-crosses and flour ishes that you learned during- the holi days and that Rudolph Valentino has nothing- on you. Tubby Currie has been going to Bryan quite often late ly and it is rumored that he will be on hand Saturday night, so if you “sheiks” want to hold your own you had better be there early. * * * Two Dances Between Terms. There will be two dances held dur ing the short lapse between terms this year. There will be the Barn-yard dance that promises to be unusual and a regular corps dance on Satur day night. Both of these dances will be held in the annex and will be the last to be held there. The first dance in the Gym will be on February 16 when there is to be a home-coming of all the old T. men. The particulars about the dances have not been work ed out just yet. Complete details will be announced in this column as soon as possible. It may be good to mention here that this is not the regular T dance that • is held every year, so don’t get excited and have your T date the sixteenth of Febru ary. The sercetary was rather indispos ed the last time that he was inter viewed but full particulars concern ing the dances between terms will be announced in the next issue of the Battallion.. ♦$* •*$*• ■*$* ■*$«- * PEP INJECTERS * * By * * Gloomy Gus * *j* ♦♦♦ »♦* ❖ Name that day your best when you have conquered hate and prejudice. ❖ * * ’Music is a thing of the soul. * * * A preacher is a man who talks to people who think he means somebody else. i]i =!c i]z Money certainly talks, but rarely gives itself away. >1: * A man marries a woman for what she seem to be. Vision, initiative, technical skill are needed qualities, now as always. But here’s another. Can you work on the team? Will you be able to back up the other members in the manufacturing and commercial ends of the business? The engineer today should be no recluse in a laboratory. He can make his work more effective once he sees how it relates to the work of men around him. In your studies and college activities, you have the chance now to develop this point of view. In the broader activities of the electrical industry, you may have the chance later on to carry it further. wrn * (t<0> Since 1869 makers and distributors of' electrical equipment Number 45 of a series Lf INTERCOLLEGIATE NIGHT TO BE BROADCASTED Schenectady, N. Those in charge of the affair state that Schenectady is one of the few places in the country from which such an entertainment could be broadcast. They base this statement on the fact that there are more young college graduates here than in most cities, since so many graduates join the Gen- ci'al Electric forces immediately upon finishing college.
