THE BATTALION
A FLAPPER’S PRAYER.
I want the lights that brightly shine,
I want the men, I want the wine,
I want the fun without the price,
I want to be naughty and still be nice.
I want the thrill and the long drawn
kiss,
I want the things that nice girls miss,
I want the arms and heart of a man
And still be single—If I can;
What I want is some good advice
On “How to be naughty and still be
nice.
—Miss E. A. L. Yasser College
You may have the lights that bright
ly shine,
You may have the men, and too the
wine,
You may have the fun if you Pay the
Price;
You can’t be naughty and still be
nice.
You may have the thrills and the
long-drawn kiss,
But you’ll taste the dregs that the
nice girls miss,
You may get the arms.—Not the
heart of a man
And yet stay single—If you can;
You’d better take some good advice
On not being naughty, but just plain
nice.

Mail’s crowed today—I’m over
loaded so I can hardly walk, said the
postman.
“What’s all the excitement?” we
inquired.
“Correspondence school is having
a rally and is mailing a bonfire to
each student.”
