Boys Ask Dealers For Our Goods (Continued From Page 1) One more victory and the Bronze Bull which adorned the rotunda of the Main Building will be ours to have and to hold. For the past week the Seniors and Juniors have held their annual season of training at Dallas. This state is so big that it is impossible to visit the farms and ranches over the state to get an idea as to what is most desirable in the livestock world. In quest of this practice and knowledge, every year the Senior Animal Husbandmen go to Dallas and work on the stock dis played there. The Juniors go so as to train for the contests at Okla homa and Ft. Worth which comes later in the year. There is no ap propriation for this event, senior or junior, in the Animal Husbandry school. When the seniors chosen, six in number, leave for Chicago they are given their expenses enroute and nothing more. Last year, for the fui’therence of the work and to insure victory, the present seniors gave a novelty live stock show. This year this show is going to be repeated by the present juniors. The proceeds of this show are to help the team visit all the farms and hei'ds of prominence be tween here and Chicago. This show will be worth every cent that one pays to see it and it is also in ac cordance with the spii’it of A. and M. to back its teams. This team means as much or more than any team rep resenting the college. Here we en ter the lists against the worlds best and twice have we come off victors. Every loyal son of A. and M. should be behind the team and back it for all that is in them. Remember that they play away from the cheering crowd and do not receive the moral backing of yells and other encouraging features of the athletic field. You may be an engineer or a stu dent of agriculture remote from Animal Husbandry but this team represents the college and you. They leave about the middle of Novem ber and the show is not far off* Help to make the show a success. Keep behind the team and Coach Stangel will do the rest. Show them., you want that Bronze Bull that means so much, again. 1 We must have it and to do that, we must give them our support/ Go to the show and see the teaai -off the following day for we want to be the world’s best for the third time. C. E. SOCIETY ELECTS OFFICERS. The C. E. Society held its first meet ing of the year Thursday night and elected the following officers: • J. A. Walker, president; E. M. Walker, vice- president; F. E. Gothauc, secretary- treasurer; R. E. Bridges, reporter; B. E. Cordell, sergeant at arms. The organization was practically unani mous in its decision that the regular meeting time should be the first and third Thursday nights of each month. The society voted that it should have a club pin symbolizing our chosen profession, so a committee consisting of Woolverton, Weinert and Loving, was appointed to design a suitable pin. The plans and policies of the so ciety for the ensuing year were dis cussed and the enthusiasm displayed leads us to predict a great year in the history of the C. E. Society. RICE PULLS OFF BIG PARADE. Houston, Texas, Oct. 18—The Rice Institute student body aroused the late Sunday morning snoozers when they were led by the college band through the business section to Union Station to welcome the returning Owl foot ball squad from the annual clash with Tulane University at New Orleans. The windows facing the street in downtown apartment houses and ho tels were lined with people in bed room attire, some cheering and some sullen. Spirits fell when it was learned that Punk Williams, the keystone of the Rice line, had broken a leg instead of a sprained ankle as reported. This will take some effort on the part of the coaching staff to replace him. tobacco juice on the floor, walls, or ceiling on or near my post. 10.
