Duncan blocked Collins’ kick, Collins recovering on A. & M.’s 10-yard line. Collins punted to Williams in the cen ter of the field. Williams fumbled the kick. Garrity recovered. A. & M. was penaized 15 yards for holding, putting the ball in play on the A. & M. 34-yard line. Collins punted 45 yards to Will iams. Littlefield went around his own right end for five yards; Walker fol lowed with six through tackle to first down on A. & M.’s 47-yard line. Tur ner plunged nine yards off tackle, tak ing a direct pass from Dittmar, the Texas center. Littlefield shot a five-yard pass to WARREN COLLINS The boy with the wonderful toe. Turner, carrying the ball to the A. & M. 36-yard line. On the next play Littlefield was thrown for an eight- yard loss by Kendricks. Williams went down left end for six yards. Tur ner slipped off tackle for 12 yards. Time was taken out for Edmonds. Turner again brushed tackle for five yards. Walker fumbled and Crow re covered on the five-yard line. Collins kicked 40 yards to Littlefield, who managed to return three. Walker went through the line for four yards. Williams fumbled on the next play, but recovered and netted a one-yard gain through center. Forward pass, Littlefield to Turner, incompleted. Littlefield attempted a placement kick from the 45-yard line, but failed. Collins punted on the first down 40 yards, no Longhorn handling the punt. Texas was penalized for holding. Littlefield lost 8 yards on an attempt ed end run. He then punted 40 yards to Burns, who failed to return. End of first quarter. Score: A. & M. 3, Texas 0. Second period—The quarter opened with A. & M. in possesion of the ball on her 30-yard line. Collins booted 35 yards to Littlefield, with a return of five yards. On a direct pass from center Turner slipped off 10 yards, Williams skirted Texas’ right end for six yards. Littlefield made a perfect pass to Duncan for 30 yards, but the tackle fumbled as he turned for his run.. A. & M.’s ball on her 26-yard line. Collins punted to Williams on the Texas 15-yard line. Williams handled slowly and failed to return. Time out for Garrity. Williams lost three yards on the only bad pass from Dittmar during the game. Littlefield punted to Collins for 38 yards. Ed mond threw Coleman for a nine-yard loss. Forward pass, Coleman to Gar rity, fails twice. Collins punted 54 yards, out of bounds. Texas’ ball on 20-yard line. Littlefield thrown for four-yard loss. Turner fumbles on the Texas 16-yard line but recovers. Little field dropped behind the line and punt ed to the 35-yard line. Collins brushed tackle for six yards. Coleman hurled to Garrity for 30 yards, carrying to Texas 10-yard line. Cole man could not pierce the Texas line on a plunge. Collins gained four yards through the line. M. Mitchell went in for Gilfillian and was thrown for a five-yard loss on his initial play. Coleman brought his toe into action again and drop-kicked over the bar from the 22-yard line. Score: A. & M. 6, Texas 0. Littlefield kicked off to Garrity, who returned 25 yard. Mitchell was tossed back for a loss of three yards. Collins punted 45 yards to Littlefield. Bob Simmons replaced Williams and shot around end for 20 yards, but fumbled and Walker recovered. Sim mons hit the line for a one-yard gain. Littlefield kicked 32 yards and Burns returned three. Collins slipped off tackle for one yard. Collins broke loose for 30 yards, but the play was called back and A. & M. penalized for 15 yards for holding. Collins shot one from his toe for 50 yards. Simmons ran it back 21 yards. Walker and Simmons punched the line for eight yards. Littlefield punted 35 yards and out of bounds. Collins replied with 60 and no return. Littlefield passed to McMurray for eight yards, placing the ball in Texas’ possession on the 45-yard line, when the pistol rang out for the end of the first half. Score: A. & M. 6, Texas 0. SECOND HALF. Third period: Wiliams went back at quarter. Littlefield kicked off to Cole man who returned 25 yards. Mitchell hit the line for no gain. Two successive forward passes, Collins to Garrity and Mitchell, failed. Collins kicked 50 yards to Williams, who fumbled, Gar rity recovering on the Texas 10-yard line. Collins failed on two bucks to make more than three yards, but punch ed his way through the remaining 10 yards to the one touchdown of the game, carrying the ball squarely e- tween the goal posts. Kendricks kicked goal and then the scoring was at an end. Score: A. & M. 13, Texas 0. Burns kicked to McMurry who fumbl ed. Williams recovered. Paul Sim mons went in, taking Turner’s place, McMurry coming out and Turner go ing to his end. Simmons hit left end for one yard. Walker followed with two. Time was taken out for Little field, who on recovering kicked to Burns for 38 yards and no return. A. & M. had the ball on her 47-yard line. Collins was thrown for a seven-yard loss by Runcan. Collins kicked 45 yards to Wiliams, who made no re turn. P. Simmons got only one yard around right end. On a criss-cross Wiliams to Little field, no gain resulted. P. Simmons failed to gain. Littlefield booted 45 yards to Burns, who raced the fullback 35 yards when Edmund missed his tackle. Carlton replaced Duncan. Collins failed to gain through the line and his pass to Kendrick failed, but he made two yards off tackle. Coleman failed on a dropkick from the 35 yard line. Littlefield caught the kick, which went high in the air. After Turner had made seven yards through the line, he fumbed and Crow recovered on the Texas 22-yard line. Williams intercepted Collins’ pass and went 20 yards. Paul Simmons gained 16 yards on an end run and a direct pass from cen ter. Time out for Crow. Walker fumbled Littlefield’s perfect pass and Collins intercepted the next one, giv ing A. & M. the ball on her 45-yard line.
