office: “Give me two sand
wiches, please; one for me and
one for my girl.”
Why did Bo Peep want to go to
the library on the 7th?
Vidaurie says he continually
dreams of Nellie.
Misses Edna and Alma Foster,
two Baylor College girls, joined
us in Taylor, Texas, on our San
Antonio trip. Both of the young
ladies look well and we were all
glad to see them, especially the
members of “C” Company, as
Miss Edna is sponsor of that
company.
Mrs. Sprouce of Columbus is
visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. C.
Love.
Fitzgerald, walking into cigar
store: “Give me a cigar.” Deal
er: “Five or ten.” Fitzgerald:
“Flo; one.”
We see no reason why a glee
club is not organized. In our
College there are some excellent
singers and also good mandolin
and guitar players. Now if these
students would get together and
practice they would certainly
make a success of this work. We
are all greatly interested in these
kinds of entertainments; the stu
dent body would stand with and
back the glee club at any time if
such be organized. Therefore,
boys, do justice to your school
mates and we will guarantee you
that a good time will be yours.
Melguard: “I am going to get
me a whole box of those (anti
cameo) cigars.”
Rice wants to learn how to
post a relief.
The captain of the football
team is very attentive to his crip
pled men in the hospital. He
can be seen at almost any time
headed for that building. Not
long ago he stayed with them half
the night. Good for ’em, gal
lant captain, but we think some
other attraction draws him there.
Professor: “Mr. Lowby, where
do they make commercial fertili
zers?” Lowby: “In the library.”
Fish asked if the Sewanee foot
ball team was from the Suanee
River.
Mack Wren says he is in love.
Poor boy! We feel sorry for
him.
Carlock thinks he would look
swell with corporal stripes.
Fish Bryan wants to know if
there can be more than one sar-
geant-major.
Ask Limeberger if he wrote to
his Taylor girl.
Carswell says, with a little cul
tivating, he would have a splen
did voice.
Ask Taylor L. why he quit
writing to Lillie.
Wren says if it wasn’t for Phys
ics he would be a fox.
Holzman says he will quit run
ning, as he has his lieutenantship
grabbed.
More F. says the boys call him
a sucker because he makes good
grades and talks with the pro
fessors.
Ask Davidson what happened
to him coming from Mess Hall.
Winkler has discovered a new
variety of iron—metalic iron.
