\ 40 THE BATTALION. S is for Sneed, a very good farmer, But he’d far rather pose as a lady charmer. T is for Tracy, with his grand stand plays, But still he has many useful ways. U is for Upward, and there we must go, Upward and onward from this plain below. V is for Virtue, for Victory sweet, Which we must win ere our life is complete. W is for War, to which we are going, With flying flags and trumpets blowing. X Y Z is the end of our song, And I hope you will find in it nothing wrong. No more for us shall the shrill bugle blow, No more up stairs to classes we will go, Exam’s are done; we are alumni now, And to our cadet life we make a final bow. The mock’ bird sings in old Kentuck’, ’Mid blossoms newly born, And the corn is full of kernels And the colonels are full of corn. List of Graduates. Agricultural Course.—W. T. Carter, Brighton; W.
