    INFORMAL.
An interesting affair of the week
was that of Mrs. A. T. Potts’ on Tues
day afternoon. In a most charming
way the hostess had displayed in fhe
library many handsome pieces of
handpainted china done by Mrs. Potts’
mother, Mrs. Poland of Angleton. De
licious chocolate and wafers were
passed to the many guests.
LOST.
About a week ago, a Wentworth
algebra, containing a bunch of kodak
pictures. Finder return co Ross 40.

A. and M. PRESSING CLUB.
C. I. A. TO ATTEND FAIR.
Denton, Tex., Oct. 19.—College of
Industrial Arts Day at the Dallas State
Fair will be Saturday, October 31. The
students and faculty will attend the
fair in a body, going by special train.
About 600 students, it is expected, will
go and they will make their head
quarters in the C. I. A. section along
Uie north side of the coliseum. The
A. & M.-Lousiana football game of the
afternoon will be the big feature of
the day, and under the leadership of
Miss Blanche Smith, cheer leader, the
C. I. A. girls are preparing to give en
thusiastic support.
MRS. BLODGETT ENTERTAINS.
On Saturday afternoon Mrs. Freder
ick Blodgett entertained the Five Hun
dred Club in her lovely home. The
guests were met at the door by the
hostess’ charming little daughter, Eve
lyn. Mrs. Blodgett was assisted by
her sister, Miss Millicent Van Nort-
wick. At the close of the game dainty
refreshments of asparagus tips on
pineapple slices, olives, sandwiches,
ice cream, cake and coffee were
served.
LITERARY CLUB.
At the meeting of the Embroidery
Club on Saturday at Mrs. Gee’s, the
members decided to take up a literary
course this year. Mesdames Wood,
Bizzell and Reed were chosen as the
committee to select the course in do
mestic science and to make the rules
of the club. Tuesday was decided
upon as the day to meet so that the
ladies belonging to the other clubs
might have a chance to join. To the
twelve members present Mrs. Gee
served lovely refreshments.
