State University Men Favor Mili
tary Training.
“Optional Military Training is
favored by the male students of
the University of Texas,” accord
ing to an early vote taken by the
Daily Texan. The poll will be
completed this week.
The Texan is askine: for an
“honest opinion” on optional,
compulsory, two year compul
sory, or no military training. It
is explained that the present agi
tation had its beginning before
the break with Germany
Noted Lecturer Here Tonight.
Tonight at the Main Auditori
um students and other College
Station people will have the rare
opportunity of hearing Seumas
Mac Man us. the poet story-teller
and author of international repu
tation. The MacManus lectu'es
have been received with enthusi
asm by College people through
out the United States and Cana
da.
The lecture tonight will be un
der the auspices of the Y. M.C. A.
and will begin at 7:30.
Main Auditorium Admission
twenty-five cents.
The Baylor College Glee Club
(twenty-five girls) will visit Col
lege one week from tonight.
Mayor Lindsley’s Visit to College
Postponed.
Mayor Lindsley, of Dallas, who
who was to have visited College
Station today' has postponed his
visit for a week or two. He will
address the cadets and campus
people on February 22, probably,
but the date is not certain.
Notice to Campus Residents.
The Steam Plant will not be
able to furnish stove wood to the
campus residents during the re
mainder of this school year, as
the supply is very low. Please
make arrangements to secure
your wood elsewhere.

A. and M. Freshmen will play
Houston High School at the gym
nasium on Saturday night Feb
ruary 10, at 7:45. This promises
to be one of the best games on
the Freshman schedule this year.
