Fox and Hound brands
itself as an “upscale
neighborhood gathering
place” but the tavern is
better known for a huge
selection of draft beers.
It advertises more than
66 draft beers (although
I only counted 63 - math
was never my strength) and keeps a couple doz
en more brews in bottles.
Capitalizing on its beer reputation, it offers
specials like “Beer Flight” and “Pint Night.”
“Sports and Pint Night are what brings people
here,” said waitress Kristin. Beyond the good
service, she said she is impressed by how well
the tavern is prepared for big events. “During
big games, some bars I’ve worked at take an awesome draft selection i
hour to get food to you, but here they really pre- j n hand, most people me
pare for crowds.”
Whether crowds come here for televised
sports or for the semi-private booths down
stairs, the cigarette smoke permeates every
thing. One regular said he “always wears his
dirty laundry, since it will be masked with the
smoke anyway.”
Fox and Hound is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
every day.

New Vietnam

H0 CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam
— Vietnam's favorite TV show,
“The Crime Police,” opens its

The 10-episode story line is
adapted from an award-winning
novel titled “Mot The Gioi Khong
Co Dan Ba,” or “A World Without
Women," which took Vietnam by
surprise in 2000 when it became
the first book to address gay issues
in a serious manner.
