    BODY ELECTIONS
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
The Battalion
2004
Alex Young
Monique Rochon
As the Class of 2006, we have been here for nearly two years. We have a pretty
good idea of what’s going on at A&M and how to get around college life. We’re
familiar with the traditions, the spirit, and the odd sense of cultishness that comes
with being an Aggie. Next year, as upperclassmen, we will demonstrate some form
of leadership for the classes under us. Will we provide a strong model or a weak
example? My desire is to provide a strong model, and I believe the best way is to
have a keen presence felt on campus. To do this, we need to have a greater sense
of unity - unity between our class and our officers, and unity among ourselves, as
well .The more opportunities we as the Class of 2006 have to get involved, the more
we’re going to feel like this is our University. And the more we feel like this is our
university, the keener our presence will be felt. As upperclassmen, let’s provide a
strong, unified model.Class of 2006, it’s time for a fresh perspective.
