“She served as an incredible life partner to
(A&M) President Rudder.” Josefy said. “And in
strong and motherly fashion, guided our campus
and its students - through our most pivotal years of
transition.”
Along with being A&M President, James
Rudder was a U.S. Amiy major general, and led a
group of Army Rangers during the World War II
D-Day invasion in Nonnandy. He was also a foot
ball coach and rancher.
Funeral services will be held at ' 10 a.m.
Saturday at A&M United Methodist Church in
College Station. Members of the Rudder's
Rangers unit of the Corps of Cadets will servel
pall bearers, and a Singing Cadets quarteti

“It was an honor to be asked to be repn
lives at the service,” Reed said. “The Sina
Cadets will be performing in the San An
area, but we felt it was important to have a j
(at the funeral).”
Rudder is survived by two sons andlwodaiijj
ters. She is also survived by eight grandchild
and two great-grandchildren.
“Her presence at University events, from
solemn occasions to football games, alwaysl

will always miss her greatly, but like her hush
she will always lx* remembered and reveredbj
