It’s an opera. But don’t let that scare you. The storyline is easy to
follow. The costumes are vibrant and colorful. The singing...well these
opera voices are some of the best you’ll ever hear. Plus, it’s presented by
MSC OPAS, the same organization that brought you RENT last year.
MSC OPAS continues the Main Stage season by presenting an Italian-style
tragedy on a grand scale with RIGOLETTO. To be performed by the
distinguished Opera Verdi Europa, RIGOLETTO tells a touching story
between a devoted father and a loving daughter. Only - their story turns
tragic when she falls in love with the Duke and under the curse of a
mysterious Count.

Recording industry withdraw
lawsuit against 66-year-old
AGGIELIF
THE BATTALI
BOSTON (AP) — In a possible case of mis
taken identity, the recording industry has with
drawn a lawsuit accusing a 66-year-old woman
of illegally downloading and sharing more than
2,000 songs online, including the rap song “I’m
a Thug.”
Sarah Seabury Ward and her husband use their
computer and Internet connection to send e-mail
to their children and grandchildren, said
Electronic Frontier Foundation attorney Cindy
Cohn, who has worked with the family.
And the Wards use a Macintosh, which cannot
run the software needed for the Kazaa file-sharing
service they are accused of using illegally.
The Newbury woman was one of 261 defen
dants sued by the Recording Industry Association
of America this month for alleged illegal file-shar
ing of copyright material.
The industry threatened to hold her liable for
up to $150,000 for each song.
The RIAA withdrew the case Friday, call
the move a “gesture of good faith” but
Ward’s attorney the organization will continue
investigate and reserves the right to refile
lawsuit.
RIAA spokeswoman Amy Weiss
Wednesday the group still believes it traced
alleged illegal actions to the right Intern
Protocol, or IP, address and account.
Cohn said she expects more cases liked
Wards because Internet service providers 11
Comcast, used by the Wards, do not assign
addresses to any one user but shuffle them arom
Comcast spokeswoman Sarah Eder declined
comment on Ward’s case, but said the comps
has helped the recording industry to matcli|
addresses with users’ names in cases w
Comcast is legally required to do so.
Weiss said this was the only case the RIAAlJ
withdrawn.

Hopkins gets star on
Hollywood Walk of Fame
LOS ANGELES (AP) —The star of “The Human
Stain" has a new spot on Hollywood Boulevard.
Anthony Hopkins, who stars in the film adap
tation of Philip Roth’s novel about a disgraced
academic’s fling with a janitor (played by Nicole
Kidman), received a star Wednesday on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hopkins, 65, won an Academy Award as the
cannibalistic genius Hannibal Lecter in “The
Silence of the Lambs,” and also played the killer
in the thrillers “Hannibal” and “Red Dragon.”
As a young actor living in England, Hopkins
said he aspired to become a Hollywood star. He
described the Walk of Fame ceremony as the
culmination of those hopes.
"This is synonymous with the dreamland of
the movie business, and that’s where I always
wanted to come,” Hopkins told the crowd gath
ered at the ceremony in front of the Kodak
Theatre, home of the annual Oscars telecast.
The celebrity guests included his “Silence of the
Lambs” co-star Jodie Foster.
