This compilation reminds the listeners just how many new and breaking bands are on the label, giving a little taste of what’s to come. The opening track “Bite to Break Skin” by Senses Fail is mediocre at best and fails to make a lasting impression. In contrast. The Movielife’s “Face or Kneecaps” is the standout song on the CD because it does not compromise its sound for a pop crowd. The Starting Line, Allister and Home Grown are also fea tured on the CD but have a tendency to blend together due to their gimmicky style. An eye-opening track is the acoustic “Head on Collision” by New Found Glory, which features charming instrumentals and high lights lead singer Jordan Pundik’s whiny vocals. Steel Train closes the CD with a melancholy acoustic version of “Blown Away,” which may put some listeners to sleep. In the end, this album is an acquired taste that deserves a listen because it show cases some new talent, but if you are not a fan of pop-punk music you will definitely want to pass on this one. Snoop Dogg, Clipse, N.O.R.E. and O.D.B. (Dirt McGirtjnu this an attractive CD to buy, but buyers beware. Even though The Neptunes have produced many hits for list of different artists, "Clones” fails to make a lasting im sion and contains too much filler. Songs with Busta, Ludi Clipse and N.O.R.E. aren’t worth listening to. However, Nelly is a gem in this pile of rubble. Surprising songs from Spymob and The High Speed which have a more alternative rock sound, serve as a ref wake-up call midway through the CD. Fans of O.D.B. can re because he returns on “Clones" as Dirt McGirt Sticking to his distinctive sounds, he prove the mic. Fans of N.E.R.D. will be disappointed with the(. because it lacks energy and tries to force-feed too many slot* down raps. The Neptunes should go back to what they working on other artists’ CDs. Don’t waste your money false advertising catastrophe all the big names on the cover out to be a major disappointment. The picture was near the top of Friday’s front page on the morning after the tele vised show. A larger version of the pic ture was in the paper’s Living section. The kiss picture elicited a deluge of complaints to the newspaper. In Monday’s editions, managing editor Hank Klibanoff apologized, saying the picture should have been inside but not on the front page. Klibanoff compared the picture to graphic images from the war in Iraq. “We ran images we otherwise might not have run. But that was war, and war was news. The photo we ran Friday was neither, and I wish I had limited its dis play," Klibanoff wrote in a response to letters on the opinions page. Bond goes to court GENEVA (AP) — An alleged “cybersquat- ter” proved no match for James Bond star Pierce Brosnan, who won control of the Internet name www.piercebrosnan.com in a ruling by a United Nations panel.
