I would like to offer you a personal tour of theTAMU “Fathause”, The Worlds First Sustainable Hause™. I have been working for the last seven years to create a modern “green” dwelling that can drastically reduce the need for energy required to maintain an internal living environment. The FatHause is a living, breathing and thinking addition to the natural ecosystem that acts as an environmentaliy-ffiendly and sustainable home designed to last for hundreds of years. You have seen this distinctive home located at the corner of Lincoln and Nunn streets in College Station that currently looks like a large Styrofoam cooler, but in a few short days, it will embark on its journey of 1000 years as we finish the external construction. I believe it is about to spawn one of the greatest traditions to ever grace TAMU and it is my hope that I can indude you in this endeavor. I am seeking a diverse group of Aggies to live in this new house and Parmer in a sustainable living study to enhance the performance of this unique stmeture. The first year Parmer’s will be required to make the interior design choices, including paint, tile, cabinets, furniture, and appliances. They will also help to establish the homes many functional amenities including an outdoor movie theater, king size hot tub, rooftop garden and curb view landscape, and to oversee the installation process this summer. This aspect of the project has a $50,000 budget, plus twelve 12 th Man $2000 work/study fellowships for those persons selected to participate in the study. The home has to be ready for the August 16, 2003 grand opening and back to school party that we want to publicize nationally on MTV’s Real World or a similar venue. Again, I would like to ask that you allow me to give you a short tour and presentation of the opportunities provided by the extraordinary dwelling. I designed this structure with the modem woman in mind and believe that if a few of you ladies would help by sharing a lit tle of your hearts, and minds, that it will become one of the greatest homes on the planet. I know I am a dreamer...and might very well be a delusional romantic too, but I swear to God I truly believe what I profess about this home! A home not only worthy of our Ag Spirit and truly World-Class University, but one that will act as a standard for all live-in systems, for all time. Ag Word!!! Time is short; applications (www.fathause.com) must be received by Earth Day April 22 nd , with final selection of first-year partners on the 26 th . Please feel free to contact me at any time at c-faust@tamu.edu or (979) 693-8920...or better yet just stop by for a tour any after noon through the end of Earth Week.
