Paid Advertisement An open letter to Texas A&M Students Fellow Students: Last semester I videotaped a consensual sexual encounter with a young lady without her knowledge. After I did so, I showed the videotape to other students. I knew what I did was wrong but I did not know that it was illegal. I soon found out that a law took effect September 1,2002, that makes videotaping another person without his or her consent with the intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person a felony. What I did was wrong because it was immoral and a tremendous embarrassment to the victim, my fraternity, my family, and myself. What I did caused enormous pain and suffering to the victim, her family, and my friends. Furthermore, I failed to live up to the high standards of Texas A&M University. I want everyone to know that this sort of behavior and the taping of anyone without their permission is a crime and I urge the students of Texas A&M University not to participate in this type of immoral and illegal conduct. As a result of my conduct, I have been suspended from Texas A&M University and my fraternity, arrested and charged with a felony, placed on probation for five years, must perform 250 hours of community service, pay a fine, and serve 30 days in jail. I apologize to the young lady that I hurt and offended and I am deeply sorry for my actions, and your family from the bottom of my heart and I BEG you for your forgiveness. apologize to you Sincerely, Ashcroft's In response ti At a time w Attorney Gen squandering I hunt for bong With mariju boring Canad Western coun ish otherwise martinis.
