This two-disc set is full of headbanging hits from the 70s and 80s that will leave listeners aching for more. The next time you’re having a rough week and need relief, crank up Mullets Rock! to help you make it to Friday. After all, just like Loverboy said, everybody’s “Working for the weekend.” ☆ -Juan Rivera The Movielife 40 Hour Train Back to Penn Drive-Thru Records Hailing from New York, The Movielife gives listeners their money’s worth on their newest CD, “Forty Hour Train Back to Penn.” The quin tet presents a tight sound that is cohesive with powerful vocals. The heart-felt lyrics read like melodramatic poetry, specifically on the opening line of “Jamestown,” which says, “Focus, com mitment and trust given to me; friendship forged through broken bones and tragedy.” One noticeable difference from their previous work is a transition from a lighter pop-punk sound to a heavier screaming style, which is reminiscent of label-mate Finch. Although you can easily listen to the CD all the way through, the standout tracks are: “Face or kneecaps,” “Spanaway,” and "Kelly's Song.” The two guitarists complement the lead singer’s voice well without overshadow, ing him. The Movielife is one of the more prom ising Drive-Thru Records bands. An absence of catchy choruses is the only thing preventing them from receiving radio play. —Chris l *+ ' Buy Make it stop, my ears are bleeding!!
