At the time of the explosion, a student working on the experiment was en route to Johnson Space Center to retrieve the com puter used to track data, Boyle said. But NASA officials have kept the computer for further investigation into the explosion, he said. Puente said working with the NASA astronauts and controllers reminded her of the friendly environment at A&M. During the mission, Puente was able to see the astronauts in action and hear conversations between them.
