However, one of the main aspects that makes this movie so intriguing is that, for the most part, it is based on a true story. Shattered by the divorce of his parents, Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) leaves home at a young age. With no money to his name, Abagnale begins forging airline paychecks while pos ing as a pilot. With FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) hot on his tail, Abagnale lives a fast-paced life as he moves from city to city and from one career to another. Learning the tricks of career trades from television and books, Abagnale deceives hundreds of people while cashing in almost $4 million in forged checks. In the most lighthearted movie he has produced in a decade, Steven Spielberg proves his ability through his storytelling talents. Although not as intense as his previous features, “Catch Me If You Can” proves just as entertaining and even a bit more fun to watch as Hanratty pursues Abagnale in a humorous cat-and-mouse chase. However, through creating connections with both Abagnale and his father and Abagnale and Hanratty, Spielberg ensures the sentimen tality is not all lost in the fun of the movie. Even with an interesting storyline and a director capable of piec ing it together, it is DiCaprio’s acting that completes the movie. DiCaprio delivers one of his best performances yet, capturing the heart of the audience even through his deception. This film is defi nitely worth catching. great tale to life with breathtaking combat scenes and chilling images from the workshop of the evil Lord Saruman. In addition the astounding portrayal of duplicate character Gollum/Smeige! (Andy Serkis) proves director Peter Jackson is a master storytelle One word to potential viewers: this movie can only be enjoy: to the fullest after viewing its magnificent predecessor, “The Fellowship of the Ring.” While “The Two Towers” may not beth feel-good movie of the year, it is one that will leave viewers hun gry for Lord of the Rings' next box-office release. The natural cheir istry makes the quieter, more personal scenes much more poignant. In drastic contrast, Bullock and Grant strut their comedic tal ents. Grant delivers impeccable timing, while Bullock relies onk strongest asset—physical comedy. However, despite good acting, the story is all too cliched. It's easy to discern the ending before the first 10 minutes are done. While Lawrence and Bullock have done great work togetheri: the past, it's time for new ideas. It’s impossible to miss the paral lets between “Two Weeks Notice” and “Miss Congenially.” Simik scenes, as well as similar actresses —both movies star Bullock ait Heather Burns — can leave viewers with a feeling of deja vu. If it’s a stereotypical romantic comedy that you want, look no further than “Two Weeks Notice.” However, if you want somethir. new. look elsewhere. You've already seen this one. Outstanding special effects and brilliant performances from a versatile cast proves Star Wars has finally met its match. “The Two Towers,” the second installment of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel Lord of the Rings, starts exactly where the previous version left off. When the Fellowship is forced to divide, Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) and his companion Sam (Sean Astin) must continue the journey to the dark mountain Mordor, the one place where the ring can be destroyed. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), allies of Frodo and Sam, face a slew of battles, visit new kingdoms and manage to keep the audience mesmerized with artful warrior skills and commitment to the cause of the ring as well as each other. "I'm very pleased for her," said defense attorney Blair Berk, who entered the plea Tuesday. Latifah, whose QUEEN LATIFAH given name is Dana Elaine Owens, was not present. A California Highway Patrol officer stopped her on the Hollywood Freeway for allegedly making an unsafe lane change. She failed a field sobriety test and was booked for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, said CHP Officer Alex Delgadillo.
