Howdy! The three of us have become great friends
during our time at Texas A&M.
Despite being from different places and
heading in different directions, we treasure
these friendships.
It is with this same idea that we want to serve
as the Class of ’02 Class Agents. It would be a
distinct privilege to keep you informed and in
touch with the Universitym the Aggie Network,
The Association of Former Students and most
importantly your friends and classmates.
The bond that we share as the Class of '02 that
has been created at Texas A&M will continue for

Howdy — we feel that the most important quality
to look for in a Class Agent is strong communication
skills, so we would like to use our space in The
Battalion to address a question that we have heard a
lot lately — “What exactly is a Class Agent?”
Class Agents are a liaison between members of
our class, The Association of Former Students and
Texas A&M University. It is the Class Agents'
responsibility to write three Class newsletters a year,
pass on news from our classmates to The Association,
and organize formal and informal reunions.
We have all taken different roads to the same place
— graduation from Texas A&M. We would love for
you to allow us the opportunity to help make sure that
we all stay on the same path as a class from now until
our reunions in 2007, 2027 and 2052. Once again,
thanks and gig ’em.

Fish Camp counselor '00 & ’01, CARPOOL
Howdy! Throughout our past four years at this
university, we have been given the amazing oppor
tunity to serve Texas A&M through various organi
zations and leadership opportunities. However, we
have never had the unique and distinct honor to
directly serve our friends, our peers, our mentors,
and our leaders — our class.
Texas A&M has been an amazing experience.
We would like to continue that experience after
graduation by serving the Class of 2002. We will
work with unmatched enthusiasm, dedication, and
integrity for the Class of 2002. It would be an
honor and a privilege to serve you as your Class of
2002 Class Agents. Gig ’em '02...whoop!

2 Gift
The 2002 Class Gift
Committee has generated a list
of gifts and endowments for sen
iors to vote on this year in the
student body elections.
Members of the Class of 2002
will vote for one gift idea and
one endowment idea. The
endowment is a new suggestion
that will be implemented if the
class has enough additional
funds after purchasing the gift.
Gifts:
A. Spence Park Renovations:
Spence Park is in need of new
lighting, waste containers and
repair to the walking and jog
ging track. This gift also
includes building a 25-by-25
foot pavilion with electrical out

CLASS OF 2003
SECRETARY
Kelly Coke
Howdy! Thank you to the Class of
2003 for allowing me to serve you
this year as your secretary. It has
truly been an honor and privilege
to serve the awesome Class of
2003. This year I have worked
very hard to establish the 2003 list-
serv and Web page (http://class-
councils.tamu.edu/2003) so that
our class can continue to have
open communications.
When re-elected. I will continue to
see the 2003 Web page and listserv
improve and grow for the future.
God Bless and gig ’em.

I view the role of the treasurer as
an important position within the
class council. Money makes the
world go round, and without
proper management, the coun
cil’s money can be lost or unac
counted for. I feel that I have the
proper skills and knowledge to
handle all roles and responsibil
ities of the treasurer.
CLASS OF 2004
PRESIDENT
Erin Bennett
Howdy Ags! My name is Erin
Bennett. I am a biomedical sci
ence major from Katy, Texas, and
tjie proudest member of the Class
of 2004. I am running for presi
dent primarily because of the
Lord’s leading through my desire
to love people by serving them.
I want our class to be Aggie
leaders by igniting a vision
effectively. In addition to raising
money for our class gift, organ
izing and involving our class in
E-Walk, I would commit to
being accessible to anyone who
has a concern or idea. Unity is
another facet of the vision I
hold for our class which can be
accomplished through more
class events and celebrating the
traditions. Win it with Bennett.
Andy Fredericks
When I first thought about run
ning for a class council position
somone said to me, “Why do
you want to join an organization
that just sells T-shirts?!?!”
Class councils, though they may
not get much credit for it, carry
on the traditions on which many
of us pride ourselves.
Specifically the junior class
council is involved with boot
dance and Junior E-walk and
they also have the ongoing task
of raising funds for a class gift.
At Fish Camp, our hump it said,
“making our mark and so much
more, fightin’ Class of ‘04.” I
want to bring this saying to life
and leave our mark here at
A&M.
Jon Kleckley
Howdy, my name is Jon
Kleckley and I am a sophomore
industrial distribution major
from Bryan, Texas, a proud
member of the Corps of Cadets
Company K-l, and I want to
represent you as the Class of
2004 president. I would like to
improve awareness and keep our
class more informed on impor
tant decisions made on our cam
pus. I am dedicated to bringing
more spirit to our class at every
class function. The big picture
will become brighter and clearer
as I - strive to reach unity
throughout all of A&M. It will
be an honor to help kindle the
ever-burning Aggie spirit with
all of the Class of 2004.1 assure
you that it can be done. Size
does matter.
Kelly Richardson
Howdy! My name is Kelly
Richardson and I am running for
president. I am an agriculture
economics major with a minor
in business from College
Station.
My focus for the Class of 2004
is to increase the spirit and pride
this University is recognized for.
It is inevitable that next year we
will not have Bonfire. A tradi
tion we have, sadly, yet to expe
rience as a class. While there is
not a Bonfire, we must show our
spirit through other traditions.
Next year our class will partici
pate in Junior E-Walk, a tradi
tion full of the Aggie spirit. Next
year, I hope to help facilitate
diversity while keeping the
sacred spirit that Aggieland is
known for across the country.
Aaron Ward
Howdy 2004! My name is Aaron
Ward and I am a proud member
of the fightin' Texas Aggie Class
of 2004, and the goal of my
administration will be to make
every member of 2004 just as
proud as I am. The most impor
tant job of a class president is to
promote class unity and pride. I
plan to promote these goals
through diverse T-shirt designs
exclusively for 2004 and concen
tration on fund-raising for the
class gift. The class gift is the
most important thing that class
council gets done because it is
what is left after we have gradu
ated. Help me serve you and “A.
Ward” yourself in electing me for
president. Visit me on the Web at
http://www.geocities.com/pres_0
4/index.htm. Thanks and gig ’em.
Britton Whitbeck
I am running for president
because I love Texas A&M
University, and I am honored to
serve both the University and my
class. I'm excited about what the
next few years have in store for
our class with Junior E-Walk,
Boot Dance and other class
events that class council spon
sors. Our class is intelligent,
active, involved, and, most
importantly, we love this
University. I am an experienced
leader with the determination
and knowledge to get things
done for our class. I have served
two years on class council, been
a member of the Maroon Out
Exec Team for two years and a
Ring Dance event coordinator.
My goal as president is to be a
uniting force, not only within our
class, but also for the University.
It is my desire that we celebrate
our differences, set aside our dis
agreements, and come together
in the things that make us one,
like being an Aggie.

Christopher Farmer
I am runnng for vice president
of the Class of 2004 because I
believe I can help my class
reach its full potential. To me,
the common conception is our
class lacks unity. I intend to
work to change this. The hole
left by the fall of Bonfire can
never completely be filled, but
the ideals behind it live on. It is
only when we are unified as a
class, not just in name but also
in reality, that we will be truly
able to take our place as the
fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of
2004.

HISTORIAN
Roanne Perry
Howdy! My name is Roanne
Perry and I am a sophomore
environmental design major
from Bedford. Texas. I am a
very proud member of the right
in’ Texas Aggie Class of 2004.
Currently I am the Class of 2004
historian and my responsibilities
as historian include working on
a scrapbook for our class that
will be put into the archives at
Cushing Library. I also meet
with the Association of Former
Students on a monthly basis. I
have epjoyed serving as histori
an this year and I would love to
do it again, so please remember
to re-elect Roanne Perry for
2004 historian!
Lindsey Shanklin
Howdy! As a proud member of
the Class of 2004,1 am excited
to be pursuing the position of
class historian. If elected, I plan
to make the class scrapbook
available not only in the MSC
but also online so that it might
be more accessible to everyone.
I am the newest of a long family
line of Aggies, all of which still
speak of their memories at
Texas A&M. As historian, it
would be my duty to preserve
those memories for the Class of
2004, so that we might one day
share them with our children
and grandchildren.
CLASS OF 2005
PRESIDENT
Jared Grisham
Howdy! My name is Jared
Grisham. I am an accounting
major from Houston, but more
importantly, I’m the proudest
member of the rightin’ Texas
Aggie Class of 2005. During this
year, I have realized what an
amazing opportunity you granted
me as secretary. I would be hon
ored to serve you again during
our sophomore year in greater
capacity as president.
My first goal as president would
be to unite and bring pride to our
class and to unite class council as
a representative body for Texas
A&M. I hope to make our soph
omore year fun through partici
pation in class activities, service
projects and fund-raisers toward
our class gift. Please remember
Jared Grisham for 2005 presi
dent. Thanks and gig’ em!
Curt Steinhorst
Howdy! I am a speech communi
cations major from Plano, Texas.
Through my experience in class
council this year, I had the oppor
tunity to leam what it meant to
serve a group of 8,000 students.
This next year I would like to
take on a greater role in being
able to serve you. As president,
the focus of council will be to
serve through continuous com
munication and functions that
will unify the campus. One of the
visions I feel strongly about is to
see the 2005 class council expand
the class listserv to the entire
class of 2005. Although this has
already begun. I will actively pur
sue seeing this goal through.
Sherry-Mei Yeh
Howdy, Outbound? Wouldn’t it
be so nice if politics are as
uncomplicated as a meal to go?
I am running for president of
this class because something has
to be changed now.
I notice some peculiar things
about the American public
school system. Everyone wants
things changed, but without an
energetic, charismatic leader
who strongly believes in
progress, the power of the stu
dent body is spread out to direc
tions often contradictory to each
other and other efforts for
progress are undetermined.
If elected, I want to relocate part
of the millions of surplus of the
money we receive from the
electorates Student Activity Fee
to the Braille, American Sign
Language and Spanish or even
Chinese instructors. I would like
to promote a better understand
ing of other people. I would like
to be a pioneer in recycling pro
grams in dorms and cafeterias
and improvements in hot water
systems in dorms.
