A drunk driver heading eastbound on University Drive ran through a
stop light early Sunday morning. The motorist escaped hitting any
other cars, but hit a signal post, causing his vehicle to spin in the
opposite direction. Witnesses said the truck was going about 60mite
per hour before the accident. The driver was taken away on a stretclv
er with only a cut on his nose and no other visible injuries.
