Things just got out of hand.” Sowder said the Tech police report came to his office unso licited. “I never ask for things like that,” Sowder said. “They brought it over here on their own accord, mainly to have someone review the circum stances to decide if any crimi nal charges need to be filed.” The report, which Sowder provided Wednesday, states that Wallace saw A&M and Tech fans fighting and attempted to stop the fights. “He was trying to help peo ple back into the stands when (McKinney) shoved him. I Wallace) stated that he tried to explain to (McKinney) that he was an A&M student, but (McKinney) struck him with a pair of binoculars. (Wallace) got angry and punched [McKinney] in the eye,” the report stated. Rugeley said university poli cy dictates that investigations of this nature be given to a magis trate, and reports that McKinney was hit by an A&M student had no bearing on Tech’s decision to give the report to Sowder. “We were going to do it regardless,” Rugeley said. “We have a long-standing policy to present these to the district attorney’s office.” Rugeley said Tech officials are making changes to security policies before next weekend’s game against the University of Oklahoma in Lubbock. “We don’t have to be hit in the face twice with a wet mop,” Rugeley said. Any goal she scores in the Big 12 tourna ment will count in season statistics, so she could break Csizmadia’s record in tonight’s game. “1 was excited to do it (tying Csizmadia), but it is not everything,” Johnson said. “What matters to me is the team, how well we have done and just getting the ball in the net, whoever puts it in.” Johnson was named to the Big 12 All- Newcomer Team along with defender Shannon Labhart and midfielder Amanda Burke. While Johnson has had a solid year, it is senior forward Nicky Thrasher who appears to lead the Aggies. Thrasher has scored five goals in the last two games and has scored I 1 of her 14 goals in Big 12 games. She is tied for the Big 12 lead in goals with Big 12 Player of the Year Christine Latham of Nebraska. “After the Nebraska game, the past five games have been incredible,” Thrasher said. “Our defensive pressure all over the field was great, and we are getting more goals and more goals off of that.” After the 4-2 loss to No. 12 Nebraska, m the natior sparked a askan fishe [ompted the nsider intervei In its ruling We urt said sorr |ere justified tc mpany for the idee oil spill, «$5 billion wa A&M outscored its next fiveopporaisij combined score of22-3.
