showcased weekly at a variety of venues. Check out the Weekend Preview
every Thursday for a chance to catch friends
and peers on their way to stardom.

Third Floor Cantina:
Tonight at 10 p.m., Texas A&M gradu
ate Rebecca Torellas will perform soft
alternative-pop rock at the Cantina. One
fan says that Torellas’ style is hard to
define but there is a catchiness and
femininity of her music reminiscent of
female pop stars such as Tina Turner.
Big Pauly’s:
Acoustic singer Shane Walker will play a
blend of original and covered songs of
the Texas country and blues flavor with
special guest. Professor Scott Austin.
The show will start about 9 p.m. There
is no cover charge.
Fiizwllly’s:
Kulhanek will perform a rock and blues
set on the outdoor stage tonight at 9:30
p.m. Cover charge is $3.
Shadow Canyon:
Country music singer Brandon Rhyder
will perform at 10 p.m. tonight. Cover
charge is to be determined.
Zapatos:
Wide Open Mic Night, hosted by Chad

concert to aid victims of the September
tragedy. The show starts at 9 p.m. Get

Local jam band, Easy Louie, will dazzle
crowds at 9 p.m. with a unique and
artistic sound. There is no cover charge.
Fltzwllly’s:
Original rock musician Seth James will
be releasing his CD and performing for
a crowd on the outdoor stage at 9:30
p.m. Cover charge is $3.
Sweet Eugene’s:
Coffeehouse guests can enjoy the
soothing jazz music of Big Apple Trio
while enjoying a cup of joe. The band
will play from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Cover is $1.
BJ Blair and Brian Kruckenburg of local
Texas Country band. Six Bridges, will
entertain guests on the porch stage with
acoustic guitars and harmonization to
familiar tunes by Jack-O-Pierce and
Cowboy Mouth as well as some origi
nals. There is no cover charge.
Saturday:

Kickstand will perform at 9:30 p.m.
Kickstand’s musical flavor is described
by one band member as “the early 90s
Seattle sound’’. There is no cover
charge.

Original rock band, Throwaway People,
will perform at 9:30 p.m. Cover is $3.
Sweet Eugene’s:
Austin band Woodwork will be perform
ing alternative rock for latte-sipping cof
feehouse guests from 9 p.m. to mid
night. Cover charge is $1.

Ben Hall will perform on the porch
