By Giselle Wallace
THE BATTALION
Last year, an estimated

h tgedy or illness, officials said.
Texas A&M students and staff
ill have a chance to help raise
,(XX) units of blood this week in
ic Aggie Fall Blood Drive,
arter Blood Care has set up
ttloodmobiles and tables outside
■bisa, near Rudder Fountain in
me Memorial Student Center
Blaza and in the Commons lobby.
“Blood donation is very
important because we have to
■epend on volunteers to give
■lood," said Ann Schrader of
tarter Blood Care. "You never
know when there is going to be
I tragedy, so we need as many
donors as possible.”
Service fraternity Alpha Phi
Omega (APO) is sponsoring
the blood drive. APO sponsors
drives every semester, said
APO pledge master Kristie
Talbott, a senior mathematics
major.
“It is a tradition for us to
sponsor the blood drive annual
ly, and APO is the only organi
zation on campus to do so,”
Talbott said.
Donors must be be in good
general health, at least 17 years

Tattoos and piercing must also
